The last photo of the #Seattle visit was a stopover at the Suzallo #Library Reading room at the University of Washington - part of a campus tour.

This library is famous (rightly so) for its Gothic architecture. I was not aware or expecting it and it stunned me.

Interior of the Suzzallo Library Reading Room at the University of Washington. The photo looks down a long central aisle beneath a soaring vaulted ceiling with repeating Gothic arches. Warm chandeliers hang in rows, glowing over wooden study tables and tall bookshelves. Large stained-glass windows line the walls, filling the vast, cathedral-like space with soft light. Several people walk toward the far end of the hall, giving a sense of scale to the room’s grand architecture.
